AMAZING SCAMMERS! We've rented car in November and Ive been waiting for the papers they promised to send me. However, since they did not bother, at least I will write the review. Firstly, when we arrived, there was noone at the parking lot to meet us at the agreed time. We called the provided number and we''ve been told to wait and "find some shelter" (It's been raining and we were at the open parking lot, the only roof was over the other car company pick up place where we were certainly not welcomed, as people were going back and forth with the cars). Secondly, we were offered to pay extra 84 euros for wheels insurance (we had Zero risk, but obviously they need to rename this option as it is not corresponding with reality). We've been told that tire change is 120 EUR and the whole wheel with tire is 240 EUR. We considered that potential damage and risks are ok combined with the fact that the rest of the car (possible scratches etc.) is covered by insurance already. However, when we came to drop the car, the math was not mathing. We've got a little incident and back door paint was scratched (which does not matter, it is covered by Zero risk insurance in our case). There was a tiny scratch on the wheel tho (3rd one, 2 scratches were there from the beginning and I even had photos of it). And for this one scratch they charged us 100 EUR which is making no sense. As per their first said prices the whole wheel with tire change is 240 EUR, my scratch is 3rd, therefore I logically should have paid only 1/3 of the price of changing the wheel (without tire, which is less than 240 EUR). They've promised me to send invoice to my email (it never happened). As well as they promised to send me check from service, showing that only this part of the wheel (the rim without tire) repair was costing to 300 EUR minimum to justify the amount I paid and provide refund in case they won't be able to. No receipts, no refunds. Obviously, they never did it, as it is a regular tourist scam. Additionally, the worker was late again when we came to drop the car, therefore we were already worrying about catching our flight. There was a young guy with a hat (already tells a lot about his manners as he was wearing it inside), who started to tell us that they will call the police if we don't pay. We would gladly do it, but understood that we would be even more worrying about cathcing the flight. So it's a perfect scam scheme as you see. Seeing business owners like this giving a lot to compehention about the current economical state of the country:(

We rented a car from Amazing Island in 2023, so this review is a bit late, but nonetheless wanted to post it. Our experience with them was great, our car was ready for us when we arrived, the process was timely, they were very patient and kind with our kids while we were doing the paperwork and settling into the car. The return process was easy and timely as well. Thanks for helping making our Sao Miguel visit wonderful.

Zdecydowanie polecam chłopaków! ☺️Bezproblemowy a zarazem sympatyczny kontakt, transfer na i z lotniska, brak konieczności karty kredytowej czy depozytu. Nowoczesna, czysta flota. W razie potrzeby świetny kontakt przez WhatsApp. Jazda naszym „dealpoolem” to był przyjemność! 🤩 Zdecydowanie polecam ! 😊

I had an amazing experience at Amazing Island car rental. Communication was excellent. The rental agent went above and beyond. The car was a new hybrid. Definitely beyond my expectations!
